Why Choose the Best Orthodontist in Colorado Springs for Your First Visit

What to Expect at Your First Orthodontic Visit

Before your initial orthodontic appointment or consultation at Falcon Orthodontics, we will send you electronic forms via text or email to complete. Once you arrive, our friendly staff will check you in, and one of our treatment coordinators will begin gathering your diagnostic records. We’re excited to welcome you to our state-of-the-art office!

Initial Consultation: Key Questions We’ll Address

  • Are there any orthodontic issues present?
  • When is the best time to begin treatment?
  • What type of treatment is recommended?
  • How long will the treatment take?
  • What will the treatment cost?

What are Diagnostic Records?

  • Digital Study Models: Three-dimensional models of your teeth, created using our iTero scanner.
  • 3D Radiographs: These detailed images show your teeth and facial structures in all three planes of space.
  • Doctor’s Analysis: Dr. Jacob Zitterkopf will review these records to determine the most appropriate treatment plan.

What’s Next?

After evaluating your diagnostic records, Dr. Jacob Zitterkopf will perform a thorough clinical examination of your oral and facial structures. Based on his findings, he will recommend treatment if necessary.

Understanding the Cost of Treatment

The cost of your treatment will depend on the severity of your orthodontic issues. During the initial exam, our treatment coordinator will discuss fees and payment options. We offer various payment plans to fit your budget and accept most insurance plans, working to make orthodontic care as affordable as possible.

What Does Your Investment Include?

  • Orthodontic Records: Photos, 3D x-rays, and digital study models taken before, during, and after treatment.
  • Active Treatment Fee: This covers all appliances, office visits, and procedures related to your orthodontic care, whether you choose braces or Invisalign. Appliances are designed to last throughout treatment, but additional fees may apply if replacements are needed due to loss, breakage, or misuse.
  • Retainers: For pediatric patients undergoing Interceptive (Phase I) treatment, one set of retainers is included. For comprehensive (Phase II) patients, one set of final retainers are provided. Additional retainers due to loss or breakage may incur a replacement fee. Ask about our Retainer Insurance program, which offers a warranty to protect your smile for life!

What Is Not Included in Your Investment?

  • External Dental Work: Procedures performed at other dental offices, such as cosmetic bonding, crowns, or implants, are not included.
  • Additional Fees for Complications: If an accident or injury occurs during treatment that results in complications like Temporo-Mandibular Joint Disorder (TMD), orthognathic surgery, or other issues, additional fees may apply.

Assignment of Benefits

We accept assignment of benefits from most insurance plans, significantly reducing your out-of-pocket expenses. If we don’t accept benefits directly from your plan, we will file claims on your behalf so you can be reimbursed. If there’s any change in your policy before full payment of the insurance benefit, please notify us immediately so we can adjust your contract.

Office Hours

We strive to see you on time for your appointment. Each visit is scheduled to complete the necessary procedures, provide information about your treatment, and answer any questions. To help us maintain a timely schedule, please arrive promptly. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated by our office and the patients scheduled after you.
